Joshua Every, PhD leads TRC Inc.’s Applied Research Division, which includes the development of a dedicated Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) test facility (SMARTCenter) and the refinement of comprehensive resources for CAV testing, validation and development. As the Director of Advanced Mobility, Josh’s current work is focused on creating techniques, procedures and capabilities for the evaluation of Automated Driving Systems in controlled environments, and the development of procedures to ensure the safety of controlled environment testing and on-road deployments. Prior to his current role, Josh led the performance of work on NHTSA’s Functional Testing of Automated Vehicles Task Order at VRTC. This program led to the creation of test procedures and advanced performance metrics for Automated Driving Systems (ADS).
