Electric Propulsion: Challenges and Opportunities
Goal: Address the transition to low-carbon propulsion in aviation, specifically the introduction of electric propulsion in the commercial aircraft fleet.
CAR Role: The energy storage team at Ohio State is responsible for the testing, characterization and modeling of advanced battery technologies, and for their integration into a safe and reliable energy storage system for use in regional aircrafts.
