Giorgio Rizzoni selected as representative to the Honda-OSU Partnership Program Joint Planning Team

Giorgio Rizzoni, director of the Center for Automotive Research, has been selected as the newest representative to the Honda-OSU Joint Planning Team (HPP JPT). Rizzoni replaces the recently retired Jim Williams, Ohio State Honda Chair.

The Honda Partnership Program is an unparalleled, bilateral collaboration between The Ohio State University and Honda of America Manufacturing that supports initiatives in education, research, and public service to positively impact diverse global audiences of students, faculty, public and private sector practitioners as well as the transportation industry.

The other Ohio State JPT representatives are Glenn Daehn (Ohio State HPP executive director) and Randy Moses (College of Engineering associate dean for research). Honda members are Tim Downing (Honda of America Manufacturing, HPP associate director), Frank Paluch (Honda Research of America) and John Kahle (Honda of America Manufacturing). Non-voting members are Rick Gildow (Transportation Research Center) and Marianne Weber (Ohio State's HPP coordinator).

Recent initiatives of the HPP JPT include Ohio State Mechanical Engineering Sophomore Laboratory and Ohio State Driving Simulator. Foci include manufacturing competitiveness, energy consumption and security, STEM education and pipeline, safety and wellness.
