Simona Onori selected as Associate Editor, SAE International Journal of Alternative Powertrains

Simona Onori, research scientist at the Center for Automotive Research, has been selected as associate editor, Society of Automotive Engineers International Journal of Alternative Powertrains. Onori brings her expertise to the following group of associate editors: Ryan McGee, Ford; Pierluigi Pisu, Clemson University; Cesare Pianese, University of Salermo; Hua (Kevin) Bai, Kettering University; Alvaro Masias, Ford Motor Company; Rajit Johri, University of Michigan. Her research is in control system theory and applications and focuses on model-based control design in advanced propulsion systems, energy management control and optimization in HEVs and PHEVs,  fault diagnosis and prognosis.

Additionally, Onori is a research scientist and adjunct fellow at Ohio State's Center for Automotive Research (CAR) and lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering  at The Ohio State University. She joined CAR in October 2007 as a postdoctoral fellow. She received her laurea degree, summa cum laude in electrical and computer engineering from University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’ (Italy), her MS in electrical engineering from University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, NM, USA) and her PhD in control engineering from University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’ in 2003, 2004 and 2007, respectively. She serves as a guest editor for the International Journal of Powertrain.
