Life in 2030, a one-hour special from Spectrum Radio's Engineers of the New Millennium, explores the latest advances in science and technology to give listeners a glimpse of what life may be like in the not-too-distant future.

Listen as faculty members Umit Ozguner, Keith Redmill and Ashok Krishnamurthy, along with graduate student Scott Biddlestone (electrical and computer engineering) discuss their work in autonomous vehicles. The nine minute segment is posted on IEEE's website. The group investigates non-traditional aspects of the transportation sciences, such as virtual reality, remote presence, automated driving, vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications and many aspects of advanced automotive control.
