Organiscak and Riddle selected for 2012-13 NexTech Scholarships
Matt Organiscak and Derek Riddle have been selected as recipients of the 2012-13 NexTech Scholarships. The scholarships of $1000 each are awarded to engineering majors or pre-majors who work on transportation related motorsports/student project teams at CAR. They are funded by a donation from William Dawson, president/CEO of NexTech Materials.
To compete for the scholarships, students submitted brief essays describing work on behalf of their teams, how team participation has enhanced their education, and how this experience could impact their future engineering career. Matthew Organiscak is mechanical team leader on the OSU EcoCAR team and Derek Riddle is engine teamleader on the Formula Buckeyes SAE team. They plan to attend a springtime luncheon with the donor.
