2013 Ford Blue Oval College Vehicle Challenge awards $7500 to OSU Motorsports teams

The Ohio State University has been awarded $7500 to support three Ohio State motorsports student vehicle teams through the 2013 Ford Blue Oval College Vehicle Challenge. The Ohio State teams that have been selected for support: Baja SAE, Buckeye Current and Formula SAE.

Through the highly competitive process, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services selects student  teams based on information provided in proposals. Teams describe their statuses, connection to the overall engineering curriculum and reasons for requested support.

The funds--$2500 per team--will be used for general supplies needed to construct the competition vehicles. Upcoming competitions for each of these teams: Baja SAE April 2014 at University of Texas El Paso; Buckeye Current summer June 2014 Isle of Man; and Formula SAE May 2014 Brooklyn, Michigan.

This year's award follows the 2011 award in which Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services awarded the Formula SAE and Buckeye Current teams with similar support.
