In recent news the Dayton, Ohio area has learned that a major Chinese automotive glass manufacturer, Fuyao, will be locating some of its manufacturing to the area. Giorgio Rizzoni, director of the Center for Automotive research, discusses this as part of a new manufacturing trend. "[T]he declining power of labor union and a downward push on wages following the Great Recession make U.S. markets more appealing for international companies," says Rizzoni.
