Self-driving cars then and now: two Ohio State electrical and computer engineering professors and IEEE Life Fellows--Robert Fenton and Umit Ozguner--pioneers of technology for self-driving cars

The IEEE news source, The Institute, has released its next article in the series highlighting IEEE Fellows in celebration of the Fellow program's 50th anniversary year. This article, The Drivers Behind Autonomous Vehicles, focuses on three IEEE Fellows who have pioneered the technology for self-driving cars. Two of the three featured are from The Ohio State University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering: Robert Fenton and Umit Ozguner.

A professor of electrical and computer engineering, he and other researchers at the school are working to integrate advances in software, sensing and control, and modeling to address weaknesses in autonomous vehicle design..."
