The Center for Automotive Research hosts the 10th Annual IFAC Advances in Automotive Control Symposium
On August 28-30, 2022, the Center for Automotive Research hosted the 10th Annual IFAC Advances in Automotive Control Symposium. The symposium contributed to future research and development through active exchange between industry and academia and featured keynote speakers and plenary lecturers from around the globe.
The three-day event welcomed more than 200 academic partners, students and industry partners from 14 countries. The event was sponsored by General Motors, Cummins, Ford, BorgWarner, PACCAR, Honda, Schaeffler and Jobs Ohio.
In addition to the many presentations being offered during the symposium,
attendees were able to enjoy Ohio State’s campus during the social events that took place throughout the event, most notably the Gala Dinner held at the Ohio Stadium which featured red coat service, live music and stadium tours.
Vinith Kumar Lakshmanan, a visiting fellow at CAR was the recipient of the Young Author Award which was presented during conference. This award recognizes an individual 30 years or younger who presents heir work at the conference.
Vinith says that the recognition of his work is a boost in motivation to pursue more high-quality research.
