$100K Ohio Third Frontier grant to support development and testing of Simple-Fill's new compressed natural gas fuel system

Following this month's earlier announcement that Simple-Fill has been awarded the first investment of the Technology Concept Fund, there is more good news for the start-up: the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) spin-off has now been awarded a $100,000 Ohio Third Frontier grant.

The grant, Ohio Third Frontier Technology Validation Start-up Fund, was established to create greater economic growth in Ohio based on start-up companies that commercialize technologies developed by Ohio institutions of higher education and other Ohio not-for-profit research institutions. Simple-Fill will use the grant to develop and test the new fueling system for compressed natural gas vehicles, with total funds from the award to be used for technology development.  Currently in the commercialization process, design and mechanical modeling is complete and the alpha prototype is being built.
