Friday, September 26, 2014--Industry and government executives attended the Center for Automotive  Research's (CAR) semi-annual External Advisory Board (EAB) meeting, and heard directly from students benefitting from their organization's involvement with CAR.

Each year the autumn EAB meeting focuses on students and their research and projects. During the morning session attendees participated in a discussion centered on recruitment and engagement strategies of engineering students and graduates. Guest speakers included Kate Bartter, Ohio State's Office of Energy and Environment; La'Tonia Stiner-Jones, Ohio State's College of Engineering; and John Magill, State of Ohio Board of Regents.

A highlight of the meeting was the presentation by five OSU Motorsports teams. Team leaders from Baja Buckeyes SAE, Formula Buckeyes SAE, Buckeye Current, Venturi Buckeye Bullet 3 and EcoCAR 3 talked about their team's recent successes and future plans.

Gallery display, CAR facility tours and open laboratories rounded out the day's activities. Photos of the meeting may be viewed here.
