Graduate student Amanda Hyde receives Ohio State Women in Engineering Leadership Award

Amanda Hyde, a mechanical engineering graduate student, has received the Leadership Award for service to the EcoCAR team from Ohio State's Women in Engineering program. Amanda was recognized February 16 at the Women in Engineering Banquet. She was nominated due to her rapid ascent to the position of Team Radar. In her short time with the team, she has become a true leader and mentor to undergraduate students and a major contributor to the engineering design of the EcoCAR 2.

Award criteria:
Leadership awards go to women engineering students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in a student organization/project team. Students were nominated by an academic advisor, student organization faculty advisor, or student organization president. Nominator must present clear examples of what she has done to make her stand out as a leader and deserve a nomination.
