Research Interests

Polina's research focus is in Li-ion Battery modeling for applications in electric and hybrid vehicles. Using techniques in model order reduction, electrochemistry, and system modeling, her work focuses on developing tools to characterize failure mechanisms in batteries due to fast charging and overcharging conditions.
