Injury Biomechanics Research Center

The Injury Biomechanics Research Center (IBRC) at The Ohio State University, under the direction of John Bolte IV, PhD, is a multiple discipline research center dedicated to understanding the risk, prevention and mechanism of human injury by investigating the biomechanics of injury, differentiating environmental versus biological predictors of injury and influencing human behavior for prevention of injury.

Research Laboratories

The Injury Biomechanics Research Laboratory (IBRL) and Skeletal Biology Research Laboratory (SBRL) are the central research facilities within the IBRC, focusing on teaching, experimental analysis and the development of modeling technologies for simulating injuries.
