FTA Bus Test and Component Assessment Programs

Goal: Produce public data to support the adoption of new low and no emissions transit busses and the integration of new component technologies into existing fleets.  

CAR Role: Manage and operate an on-campus FTA Bus Test Center completing component evaluations and full bus testing with a focus on Low and No emissions technologies.  Additionally, CAR will develop new standardized testing to evaluate emerging technologies for the transit market including autonomy, advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) and cybersecurity.
