SMART@CAR Consortium
SMART@CAR (Sustainable Mobility: Advanced Research Team) is an industry driven research and development program focused on plug-in electric vehicles and intelligent charging. SMART @ CAR is a program of the Center for Automotive Research that takes a multidiscipline systems approach to research problems related to the development, manufacturing, deployment and application of electric and plug-in electric vehicles.
SMART@CAR activities focus on vehicles, PEV charging and ground transportation systems. These programs have resulted in funding in the amount of $2.74 M since January 2009 and involve 11 faculty in the College of Engineering, College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and The John Glenn School of Public Aairs, as well as the Ohio Supercomputer Center. Student and sta involvement totals 14 PhD students, seven master's students, four visiting scholars and two research associates.
