Sponsor LuK USA LLC donates $15k to OSU Motorsports teams

A thank you goes out to LuK USA LLC, who recently donated $15,000 to three of the OSU Motorsports teams. The recipient teams are Formula Buckeyes SAE, Baja Buckeyes SAE and EcoCAR 2.

The teams plan to use the funding to support upcoming competitions in 2014. Baja Buckeyes SAE will compete April 24-27 at University of Texas-El Paso; Formula Buckeyes SAE are preparing for a Brooklyn, Michigan competition in May; and the EcoCAR 2 team will be in their Year 3 final competition in Washington, D.C. during June (dates TBD). Past support from the Wooster, Ohio-based division has included donated parts to EcoCAR 1.

Students at The Ohio State University have the opportunity to participate in OSU Motorsports. This program challenges students of all majors, backgrounds, skill levels and degrees of experience to compete on one of six student teams. Students apply research and classroom concepts, as well as learn hands-on skills for designing, fabricating, racing, managing and marketing competition vehicles.
